Rajesh Payal Rai insists that music has to be big, larger than life. One of the most sought after male voices in music industry, he has always done things king size. And come launch of his music videos, the element of grandeur was quite intact. And yes, no typos there, we did mean videos, three to be precise. Sort of a record in itself, told you Rai likes to play it large. Two songs were picturised from his latest album "Darshan Namaste" and one from "Jadhau - 2".

All three videos were poles apart in their styling and conceptualization, each had unique something to offer. Directed by Suraj Shrestha "Tuwanlo" had Bollywood star Rahul Roy romancing model Parikchya Kshettri and "Balla Bhet Bho" was steeped in Limbu tradition. It was shot in various locations in Dharan, from historical Hangyukna Durbar to sacred Budha-Subba temple. Binod Dangol's camera work was pleasant and the tag-line got us really impressed, "Preserving culture is preserving yourself".

The third video directed by Sangita Shrestha for “Shelly I love you” was shot entirely in Qatar, and had some razzmatazz going in its favor. Model Alija Giri draped in yards of chiffon did make for an appealing eye candy, Luja Singh on camera did an exceptional job and add to that Rai's vocals, let's just say the packaging was spot on and the execution was very chic.

The videos were unveiled in the presence of various media personalities, with chief guests Rekha Thapa and chief editor of Kantipur Saptahik doing the honors of hitting the play button. The event then came to a conclusion with King Rai, as he likes to be called, performing for the gathered ones at Malinga restaurant – Durbar Marg.
