About Us
We still remember the year 1997 when there
used to be websites of a few hotels and travel agencies only. Internet
was a new phenomenon accessible to rich people and big organisations.
When we thought of starting a site with content based on entertainment
and information; people would give us a surprising look. But that
didn't really matter and we dived in. During the day we used to
meet music artists, film stars and models, interview them, collect
their profiles and in the evening we would design the webpages and
upload them from our home. When we said "We are from CyberNepal
Internet Magazine", people would ask for a copy of printed
magazine (just like other paper magazines).
It's year 2005 now, and things have changed a lot. There are cybercafes
in every nook and corner and every youngster owns an email address.
Chatting and net surfing has replaced watching MTV. CyberNepal has
become the most popular entertainment website of Nepal visited by
more than 140,000 people per month. We are publishing eight other
webportals based on education, culture, ecommerce, culture and lifestyle.

Now we operate as "Dreams
& Ideas" which besides being involved with the portals
provides services related to web design, print and multimedia. We
have WorldLink Communications as a partner with common goal of establishing
Internet as a mainstream media in Nepal. This dream already seems
to have taken shape with the success of CyberNepal. With many new
exciting plans being executed we are all set to change the cyber
scene of Nepal. So stay along with us as we take you to the next
level of Internet media.

CyberSansar.com
- a new brand name
Our visitors might be wondering why CyberNepal changed its name
to CyberSansar despite being immensely popular by the former name
and having a good brand value. We had been running our site with
the domain www.cybernepal.com.np (with .np) and we had been loosing
major chunk of our visitors who would type CyberNepal.com (without.np)
after hearing our name. So we needed one good name with .com domain.
We were fortunate to find the name CyberSansar.com available for
us. We were inspired by the successful branding campaign of Standard
Chartered Bank which changed its name from Nepal Grindlays Bank.
But just like a birth name that stays with a person throughout his
life, the name CyberNepal will be our own name forever.
Why this new look?
CyberNepal proudly claims to have started a new trend of web design.
When designers all over the world were emphasizing on fast download
time, we were into graphics designed in boxes and banners. We knew
that our visitors would wait for their favourite content. We had
not come across the use of similar type of box design in any foreign
sites. We were more happy when other Nepali websites from various
cities of Nepal started with similar type of design and content.
We felt that we had become a success story which had inspired many
more. Now our style has been used by so many Nepali sites that we
decided to get a new avatar for ourselves; to set us apart from
others and towards more international look. We have tried to make
the new site visually appealing, fast loading and user-friendly
at the same time.

Nepal") has 8 years of experience in online media and over
14 years of experience in print and multimedia. It started its web
services in 1997 after launching "Cyber Nepal", Nepal's
