Romi Shah just can't stop the smile from spreading on her pretty face. Her wish of representing the country in an international pageant is about to come true. The news of her heading to the upcoming Miss India Worldwide 2011 has been officially confirmed by Nepalese Council Pvt Ltd.
Due to time constraint the pageant was not conducted this year, revealed Deependra Ratna Shakya, executive director. "Romi was selected from a rigorous selection process from last year's top finalist. She'll be flying to Dubai for the contest, which we believe is a perfect platform to promote Nepal Tourism Year 2011," he said.
The 18 year old from Birgunj will be flying to Dubai on May 10 and will be accompanied by Shakya and her father Mr. Deep B. Shah.
The Miss India Worldwide Pageant 2011 is to be held from May 10 to 14. Now in its 20th year, the competition aims to acknowledge the talented women of Indian origin.
Romi, along with 30 other contestants will be vying for the coveted title of the most beautiful women in the Indian Diaspora. Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen along with other hot shots from Bollywood will be gracing the event.
Our best wishes to Romi; and may the best one win the title.
